💙 ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Born and raised in New York City, Alexa was surrounded by art, creativity and fashion all around her. As a child, she would watch her Italian immigrant grandfather tailor dresses, pants, and shirts in his basement, influencing her to make clothes out of paper for herself and her younger brother just at the age of three. When she got older, she decided to take professional sewing, product development, and fashion drawing classes at Fashion Institute of Technology and Marist College. She even dipped her toes in the fine art world at The Art Students League of New York and The School of Visual Arts.
Restricted by her uniform in high school, Alexa took it upon herself to make her own jewelry to wear to school as a sign of self-expression, something that turned into an accidental business for a few years. Halfway through college, she had a sudden cancer diagnosis which caused her to drop out of school and undergo chemotherapy to help fight for her life.
When she became cancer-free and started school again, she was empowered to help others. She published an Amazon #1 Best-Seller, Power to Persevere: Inspiring Stories to Help You Get Through Challenging Moments, and graduated from the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University with honors.
In 2024, she decided to pursue her business endeavors in a new light with her main passion: making people feel powerful. She wanted to inspire people the same way she was able to help her get through cancer - through design.
